Why Us
We are often asked “What brand is the best heating and cooling equipment for my home?” The truth is as long as you stay with a major manufacturer, they are all very comparable. What’s more important than the brand is the company you choose to install it. The fact is a poor installation of even the most sophisticated HVAC equipment will result in problematic service, constant repairs and shortened equipment life.
The best analogy we can come up with is this: Let’s say you have decided to purchase a new Ford Mustang. If you went to three different car dealers, you could rest assured that you’re getting basically the same car whichever dealer you choose to buy it from. That’s because all three cars came off the same assembly line and had the same quality standards. However, if Ford shipped that car boxed up in different pieces such as the engine, the wheels, the seats, and each dealer had to assemble the car, it’s more likely that each of those cars would be somewhat different. In fact, you would most likely research each dealer more thoroughly and check their reputation for assembling cars.
Well, that’s basically what a heating and cooling dealer does when they install a system in your home. The A/C or heat pump comes in a box, the furnace comes in a box, the evaporator coil comes in a box; and if the system isn’t assembled properly, if the equipment is hooked up to the wrong size refrigerant piping, if it’s not connected properly, if they don’t vacuum the lines out enough or charge the new system correctly, you could have nothing but service problems, decreased efficiency and worse, shortened equipment life.
That’s why we believe in having fanatical attention to the details of every installation. Our owner, Jerry Mannix, who holds a Master HVAC and Gas Fitters license, inspects every install our company performs. Mannix HeatingĀ & Cooling is not like those other larger HVAC mega companies where a salesperson comes out, promises you everything, and doesn’t explain anything, then after the sale you never see him again. At Mannix Heating & Cooling we are an old fashioned service company, one where you’re not just a number. We assign our technicians specific service areas so you see the same tech each time we come out for service. This way you get to know him, and he knows your system. There are some large HVAC companies whose motto’s are “We are a sales and marketing company that just happen to sell HVAC equipment”; well at Mannix, we’re a service company here to serve our customers. Why not give us a try.
